"TIA clinic SWAH"

About: South West Acute Hospital / Outpatient clinics South West Acute Hospital / Radiology

(as the patient),

I was referred to the TIA clinic SWAH after a recent suspected TIA. I arrived and was immediately greeted by nurse Helen. She couldn't have been more welcoming and put me at ease, explaining how the examinations would take place. Before I spoke with the Consultant Mr Elamin I had ECG and other observations taken in a very professional manner.

After a short wait I then spoke with Mr Elamin who again was very welcoming, he gave me a thorough examination and then explained that I would have an ultrasound and CT scan, I was surprised, happily so, that these were to take place immediately.

Basically I was seen by the consultant, had full examinations and then spoke with the consultant about the results all within a 2 hour period. Very professional and well run clinic, Staff excellent, including those in radiology/xray dept and especially Helen and Mr Elamin.

Thank you.
