Excellent cancer care

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Breast care and breast surgery

(as the patient),

I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the beginning of May.

From the moment I saw the Surgeon the first time, I have received excellent care from everyone involved. I want to mention particularly Mr Hubbard and the breast care team, who have been excellent in their care. I have also had excellent care from the radiographers, theatre staff, pre-op nurses, the Oncology department and reception staff.

The speed at which I have gone through the system has been amazing and I have felt genuinely cared for and listened to. Thank you for all the NHS staff at the RD&E. You are such a blessing to your patients. I can't sing your praises highly enough.

Thank you for taking the time to share your story. Your opinion is really helpful to us and I am pleased you had such a positive experience under our care.

We strive to deliver patient-centred care and it is wonderful that all the teams involved in your care appear to have approached your care as a 'team'.

It gives me so much pleasure to receive your feedback knowing that you felt so well cared for, and listened to. It is what we all try to do, and knowing it was is what you experienced is wonderful.
