"Primary Care Occupational Therapy"

About: Adult Health & Support Services / Occupational Therapy

(as a service user),

I began seeing my therapist in May 2025 because my GP in the Murray Surgery, East Kilbride,  felt that due to my mental health problems I  could be helped with this service.

On first meeting Connor, my therapist,  I immediately felt at ease, and the way he explained how we were going to work through each exercise was so straightforward that I knew I could do it. It was the first time I felt I was getting help, and that was all down to Connor's hard work, and empathetic attitude.

I had 7 sessions with with Connor, and all my stats raised quite dramatically from the 1st to the last, which was very positive to see.

Dear Roxy Daisy

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of working alongside on our occupational therapists in primary care, Connor.

I am so pleased to hear that Connor's compassionate manner made you felt safe and at ease in your sessions. It sounds like you worked together to really break down your exercises and tasks in a way which felt manageable and achievable for you.

It is fantastic to hear of the progress you have made with Connor's support.

I will make sure to share to pass this on to Connor and the wider team, feedback is always gratefully received.

May I take this opportunity to wish you well,
Sam
