"Ward 12 & theatre surgery"

About: Fairfield Hospital

(as a service user),

I had been booked into day surgery for the first time ever in my life. It wasn't a major surgery, but I was still left with gut reaching feelings and emotions and nerves right up until I fell asleep.

Honestly, there could not have been a better team(s) helping me through.. everyone and I mean everyone was absolutely amazing amruths, Jim, Mr Miah's and his team (two other surgeons, surgeons nurses Emily (student) and Jamie.

Everyone went though everything and kept reassuring me, most questions were answered but the ones that absolutely needed to be answered were.

Lady in recovery (I didn't get her name) and the surgeon who did my surgery with Mr Miah.

I have never had such a pleasant experience. I've been in Hosptial over night on 2 different wards at another hospital when I gave birth it was awful (my first time, made me very anxious and I didn't want to be pregnant with my second that's how much I hated it) but you have all, each and everyone of you, have helped me so much, from the heart warming arm rubs to reassure me, to the friendly, fun and some sarcastic chit chat, to just introducing yourself and smiling at me, saying hi.

I was happy to come home, but I have really enjoyed being around you. You clearly work very hard and have the patients interests!

Thank you! ☺️
