About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

The MaxFax team were fantastic during my recent visit. They:

1. Changed my appointment at the last minute owing to unforeseen circumstances. I have a complicated health situation and they accommodated this really well. 

2. The team wore facemasks and were ready for this before I had entered the room. I appreciated this gesture. 

3. The team (M, V & A) took the time to explain what they were going to do and why. Throughout the teeth extraction this continued to happen. 

4. M's clarity of explanation was excellent. Every question was answered clearly, kindly and comprehensively. 

5. The extraction was clean. Easy to see the surgery site. Clear instructions backed up with the leaflet were given about after care. 

6. Having just had a very upsetting blood test where I felt undermined, it was so reassuring to be in the hands of a professional team who understood effective communication and how to put a new patient at ease. I felt fortunate and relieved by their approach.

7. Nothing could be improved upon. That includes the prior communication with the administrative team and their ability to sort out my appointment promptly.
