"Nurse made the experience so calming for us"

My daughter was admitted to the children’s ward after having an infection in her eye.

We were met by a student Nurse Stacey who took our details and checked over my daughter’s temperature etc. Stacey took the time to chat to my daughter and made the experience so calming for us. She let us know where everything was and kept us up to date. We were told that we would be staying on the ward for a few nights.

Throughout our time on the ward we came across lots of staff but each time we passed Stacey she was smiling to patients and staff. She really brought a positive feel and never stopped working.

Hard to believe that she is a student and not in a senior role as a lot of the other staff could learn so much from her. I didn’t get the chance to thank her before we left
