I took ill and my bloods shot up to 27.6 and keytones of 1.6..
I phoned ambulance as I was told to do by GP and sadly call taker deemed me not worthy of an ambulance. The rest of that time was a blur, however phoned GP and he phoned, ambulance came I had a fantastic crew two paramedics and trainee . The crew did what they could with no keytone test strips. We headed to RAH under blue light and two tones direct into resus, where my nurse introduced herself as Eilidh.
That nurse went above and. Beyond . I have a stroke survivor husband he I know came with me to hospital. Eilidh reassured me that he would be looked after. I was on all sorts of equipment.
Eilidh explained what was going on and as I had DKA before .
Dr who sat behind the desk instead of coming over to me and ask me whatever. Dr shouts across ask her. Now that’s not good manners or good practice.
Eilidh continued care giving and keeping me updated. I sent husband home
I was being sick and in my dark time Eilidh was so compassionate caring and as I already said went above and beyond.
The lovely thing was nothing was a problem yes i have anxiety
I have need fear.
I just would like to thank Eilidh NHS is In safe hands with staff as caring as Eilidh .
Too often we told of the bad stuff of RAH I am telling a angle who stayed with me I was very sacred Eilidh was so very calm now there was a young male I take it Dr never introduced theirself.
"Excellent patient centre care"
