My experience of hospital care began in Wishaw General Hospital where I was admitted following a bad fall resulting in a hip fracture.
My care there was excellent and when a bed became available there I was transferred to South Ayrshire Hospital for further ease.
I will admit that I was not keen to be admitted as I felt it would not be suitable for me!
However, I did arrive! and to my surprise, within two days I realised what a very welcoming and well run unit it is.
The entire staff worked well as an efficient and wonderful team! I have been overwhelmed by the care staff whose kind and gentle manner and patience towards the elderly patients has been quite simply amazing, bedside nursing at its very best!
I am now a total convert to this unit and the work it does in the community, and will be eternally grateful for the care I have received here.
Best wishes to all for the future.
"Bedside nursing at its very best!"
