"Fabulous care"

About: General Surgery / General Surgery (Ward 7 & 8)

(as the patient),

I was admitted to ward 7 as an emergency via A&E.  Whilst in the ward I had fabulous care from the doctors, nursing team, health care support workers, domestics and everyone else.  I was then transferred over to ward 8 whilst I awaited surgery.  The care in ward 8 was equally as good as they are very busy wards.  I needed to press my buzzer a few times but there were never any delays and the staff were always happy to help.  Finally to all the theatre team in theatre 11 (including Dennis the robot) and also to the recovery nurses whilst I underwent and recovered from my procedure.  The food on the ward was okay.  I understand that they have to feed a lot of people with varying dietary needs. It was good that there was fresh fruit available.  The water jugs were always kept topped up.  Thank you again for making my much lengthier stay than imaged so comfortable.

Thank you very much vicsums for the positive feedback that you have provided to all of the staff involved with you care.

It is a pleasure to hear of the care that you experienced whilst as an inpatient within ward 7 & 8. I will ensure that these comments are passed to all of the teams involved, who will be so appreciative them.

I do hope that your recovery at home is going well, and thank you again for taking the time to feedback your experience.

Many thanks,

Victoria Richmond

Senior Nurse
