I was bitten by a dog while I was at a caravan hoilday with my friend, when I came home my mum knew it needed to be checked over as it was swollen and I had no feeling in my finger. I was scared as I didnt know what was wrong and could see the worry on my mums face.
I was at a&e. They told us we needed to stay over and put on antibiotics straight away and signed up for surgery to have it washed out first thing in mid July.
At the children's ward i was very looked after nurse tasha was who played with me until my mum came back from collecting my things to make feel at home, over night it was a girl called kinga she was lovley and so gentle giving me my medication and doing my observations. The next morning I was took to theatre and put to sleep the staff were amazing and kept me at ease.
The best part was going in the lift in my hospital bed, once back at the children's ward my nurse was Rachel she was so funny and looked after me well. She was so smiling and smelt very nice, she gave me the thumbs up to go home once I had recovered but gave me horrible medication to bring home ( yuck) but its to make me better. We had a visit they day after to have a wee clean and have it redressed.
"Looked after me well"
