"I broke my elbow"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Plaster Room

(as the patient),

I was at the park on a sunny day and I fell from the monkey bars because my hands were sweaty.

I was in a lot of pain and my arm looked funny. My Mummy and Daddy took me to hospital and  I had an x-ray, where they discovered I had broken my elbow.

I had to have an operation where they put 2 wires and a big cast on my arm. I had this on for 3 weeks.

I was very brave when I had to have the wires removed. I was lucky because all the Doctors and nurses were lovely to me and took very good care of me.

Hello Popstar26

Wow! What an adventure you had! 🌞🐒

Falling from the monkey bars must have been really scary, especially when your arm hurt so much. It’s great that your Mummy and Daddy took you to the hospital quickly, and how amazing that the doctors and nurses were so kind and helpful. Having an operation and wearing a big cast for three weeks is a big deal—but you handled it like a superhero! And getting the wires out? That takes real courage. Well done! I hope you're feeling much better now and back to having fun.

You’re a true superstar! 🌟

All the very best
