"The assessment was very thorough"

(as a service user),

I recently had occasion to visit my GP surgery for an “Asthma Assessment” with the appropriate nurse. During the course of the assessment the nurse identified that I was struggling with my asthma and that I was experiencing other health related problems! 

The assessment was very thorough and handled in a very sensitive and professional manner. The nurse recorded, thoroughly, our conversation and stated that she would ask one of the G.P.s to follow up with me the issues that we had discussed. 

Later that same day I received a call from the G.P. that was “on duty” that day and she asked me to come back into the surgery where she would check out the issues that I had earlier discussed with the nurse. As a result of the consultation with the G.P., initiated by the nurse, I am now due to receive further assistance from other health professionals.

All in all my experience with this surgery have been very positive and I would like to acknowledge the help, support and understanding that I have received and to say a sincere thank you for your concerns!
