"They were absolutely wonderful"

I was going to my appointment to have my compression stockings renewed.

I went into the room and the nurse introduced herself as Allison, she had such a lovely manner and a friendly smile.

I had recently lost my husband suddenly and found myself becoming emotional as it was the first ever appointment I have attended since he died.

Allison was absolutely wonderful.

I know the nurses are busy and the waiting room was mobbed with people, but Allison never made me feel like she was in a hurry.

She blathered to me and gave me the most wonderful cuddle.

I cannot tell you how this lady changed my awful day just by being herself.

I know nurses are not supposed to cuddle patients but right at that moment, it’s exactly what I needed.

I hope she never changes
