"Fantastic care"

About: North Devon District Hospital / General surgery

(as a service user),

I had a large infected Deb cyst

My GP in Lynton referred me to King GeorgeV ward

We arrived early

We were directed to the ward

The lady on the nurses station was super

We sat down in a designated area and seen within 30 min

We arrived an hr before my appointment

The staff were fantastic

I then saw a nurse and junior grade

I then saw a registra

I then saw a consultant

I was treated with dignity and involved in decision making

I then saw a consultant anaesthetist

I went to theatre within 2 hrs

I was an ANo so was extremely worried about the surgery

The theatre team and anaesthetic team we're absolutely phenomenal

The recovery's staff and post up care exceptional

You should all be so proud of yourselves

Can this be fed back to all KGV ward staff please.

Regards

Dear Jayne7213,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience.

We are truly grateful for your kind words and are so pleased to hear that your care on King George V Ward was positive from start to finish. It’s wonderful to know that every member of the team—from the nurses and junior staff to the consultants and theatre team—helped you feel supported, respected, and involved throughout your treatment.

Your feedback will absolutely be shared with the entire KGV Ward team. They will be proud to know their dedication and compassion made such a difference during what must have been a very stressful time for you.

Wishing you a smooth and speedy recovery.

Warm regards,
Connie Harley,

Surgical Support Manager
