I have recently completed the Power Up course run by Suzanne. Firstly I would like to express my thanks to whoever devised the course. This course is designed for people, like myself who have recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s and their partners. It includes Pilates, Nordic Walking and an introduction to different types of exercises for those with PD.
So while we were being introduced to the benefits of exercise and the very important role it plays in assisting with the symptoms of PD our better halves were involved with finding out about how they could assist us living with it.
Finally we get together as one group to give feedback and participate in dialogue with Suzanne about meditation, motivation, diet, etc.
In conclusion, what made this course a particular success was the delivery by Suzanne and her team, Bea and others, delivered with respect, understanding, patience (in my case), empathy and professionalism.
