"My daughter"

About: Children & Young People Physical Health / Doncaster Zone 5-19 School Nursing

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter is really struggling at school, especially with the social side, along with the academic side. The school nurse who met with her has really helped her feel she was being listened to.

Thankyou for taking the time to send your comments in to us. I am really pleased to hear that the nurse helped your daughter to feel listened to. I hope the nurses support helps your daughter to feel more confident socially and that academically she can over come her struggles. Please contact the team again if you need any more advice. Jayne

The nurse is called Jane, and she has been a huge help not only to my daughter, but is a big support to myself aswell, I honestly don't know how I'd have coped this last month or so without her. Both my daughter and I have come to view her as not just Jane the school nurse, but as a friend. My daughter struggles to connect with people, but Jane has managed to gain her trust. We'll both be sad when she can no longer see her. Anyone would be lucky to have Jane as their school nurse. (we adore her can we keep her lol)
