I gave birth to my second child at the borders general hospital and cannot praise the staff and service enough. The care I received from the moment we walked in was personable and I just felt like staff really had time for me. Everyone we saw was kind, professional, patient and explained everything in great detail. Nothing felt rushed and I was given lots of options and attention. I'm honestly so impressed!
We arrived around 1-2am on a Thursday morning and had our baby girl on the Friday after midday. After quite a long labour, I spent time in the antenatal ward and labour ward and every single staff member we came across was fantastic. I also got to try the pool which was so lovely.
It was really nice to have my own space for a bit too, prior to the birth.
The midwives who delivered our baby were called Carly and Milly I believe, there was also a senior midwife who was fantastic but I can't remember her name... Other names I remember are Libby and Christina but I wish I could give a shout out to everyone!
