"Compassionate care"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

My partner and I took a relative to A&E in Monklands with two significant injuries after an assault. He is a very vulnerable adult and we were very impressed by how quickly he was seen and the sensitivity and compassion that Dr Vaughn showed him. She was attentive and managed his pain, sorted out referrals quickly and listened to myself and my partner when we raised our worries about his situation. We were really grateful and this doctor is a credit to your team!

Our only issue in Monklands A&E was that the e-triage system was very hard for him to navigate and didn't have options for this scenario he was in, he would have left the hospital without being seen if we hadn't been there to do this for him. We were otherwise very impressed!

Hi Nicolebetsy,

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your own and of cour relative's experience within our ED Department at UHM.

I'm sorry to hear there were issues with our new e-triage system. Could you please send an email to our Patient Affairs team who can look into this further.

I hope your relative is recovering well.

Kind Regards,

Craig
