"Professional and compassionate"

About: Adult Health & Support Services / Primary Care Out of Hours

(as a service user),

Unfortunately I developed a bullseye rash and was advised by community pharmacist that I require 3 weeks of antibiotics. Of course this was a Saturday with no access to GP so ended up with appointment at out of hours.

I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment time and within 10 minutes I had my vital signs checked and returned to the waiting room. I then had an hours wait to be seen, however the wait insignificant given the care I was given.

I was seen by ANP Lorna who carried out a very thorough assessment while making me feel at ease. Lorna took time to ensure that everything was explained to me including treatment and potential side effects.

Overall I am impressed by the professionalism  and compassion shown to me. Please pass on my thanks to Lorna.
