In my opinion there appears to be an issue with x ray reading.
I myself (and 2 others I know of) had x rays in December 2024 / January 2025.
X rays were reported as all clear, but due to ongoing pain we all sought a private opinion.
All three of us were advised that we require joint replacements, apparently missed or not reported on our x rays.
No confidence in NHSG due to my current situation and a previously botched (GP’s own words) joint fusion that had to be revised, raised at the time but brushed aside.
Currently will need a joint replacement but having to go down the private route with steroid injection first (of course having to pay) then see what happens next.
Feel so let down as current wait for an orthopaedic consultation with NHSG is 70 weeks, so just had to pay to obtain a diagnosis.
Now I have a diagnosis I’m in no man’s land as it appears I cannot obtain a private diagnosis then join the NHS waiting list, as I was very clearly informed by Woodend Hospital orthopaedic telephone reception, who classed it as queue jumping.
