"Daughter's iron transfusion"

About: St John's Hospital / Medical Day Unit

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter is known for fainting through trauma and unfortunately it happened again this time as she was getting her cannula in for an iron transfusion. As a parent, this is very difficult to watch, even though I've seen it many times before. It never gets easier but what does help massively is knowing the team looking after her is immediately responsive, calm and reassuring. Amy, Charli, Rachel and David were amazing. They dealt with the situation with confidence and professionalism, making it far less traumatic for us both. Massive thanks team, you are awesome ❤️

Thank you for taking the time to give such positive feedback. I will ensure this is passed onto David and the team. We really do value you sharing your experiences with us and use this to maintain and develop the best quality care within the medical day unit. I hope your daughter is feeling better after her infusion. Best Wishes.
