"Son broke arm at cub camp"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Plaster Room Victoria Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

Our wee boy fell off the monkey bars at cub camp. He broke his radius and ulna. The care he received in both the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy and the University Hospital in Glasgow was absolutely superb.

Dear Lindsay1973

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your son's recent experience. We are sorry to hear about his accident at cub camp, but we are pleased to know that the care he received at both the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy and the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow met your expectations.

Our teams at both hospitals strive to provide the highest standard of care, and it is heartening to hear that their efforts made a positive impact during such a challenging time. We understand how distressing it can be when a child is injured, and we are glad that our staff were able to provide the support and medical attention your son needed.

Your kind words will be shared with the teams at both hospitals. They will be encouraged to know that their dedication and professionalism are appreciated.

Thank you once again for your feedback. We wish your son a speedy recovery and hope he is back to his usual activities soon.

Warm regards,

Mhairi Stirrat

Hello Lindsay1973,

Many thanks for taking the time to submit feedback to the Emergency department team it is lovely to hear that the care your son received was of a high standard.

I remember his attendance and he was a perfect patient, in a very distressing situation, with a very nasty injury.

I hope it hasn't put him off the monkey bars and he is looking forward to another cub camp soon and that recovery has been quick.

I will pass on your feedback to all of the team involved

Many thanks again

Lauren
