"Urgent visit"

I had severe chest pains and my GP recommended an A&E visit. A heart attack was ruled out by the medical team and I was discharged after a difficult evening. The standout team member, in my view, was a nurse called Laura. She was compassionate, attentive and prompt whenever I had questions. This was important to me as I was awaiting the results of blood tests. She also supported the Dr who saw and ultimately discharged me.

I am now writing this at home and said to Laura as I left that I would like to give her a positive review. As it happens, I am in the process of applying to help the NHS as a volunteer over the winter in particular. I am hopeful I will be given this opportunity and , if so, will do so in the knowledge that the NHS employs such capable people- a point illustrated by Laura.
