"Hospital admission"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / GI and Liver Inpatients Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Surgical Observation Unit Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as the patient),

Once again I was admitted to the Royal Infirmary, Edinburgh recently for further emergency treatment for my gallbladder problems. I have to say, I cannot fault the treatment I had from your most dedicated, caring and friendly staff in both the Surgical Observation Ward, and also Ward 106C. Along with your Consultants and Doctors I could not have felt in safer hands. I must also commend the Ambulance staff, Emma & Lyndsey who brought me in to Edinburgh that morning for their care. I know I will need to come back for an internal abdominal scan to check my pancreas, and also another procedure to remove my rather large gallstone. I must say, I have no qualms regarding my return visit, and seeing your great staff again. Please pass on my thanks to all who were involved Great Team

Kind Regards

Good Morning,

Thank you very much for taking the time to share the positive experience you had during your time in General Surgery. I hope your symptoms are setting down now you are at home and that you are recovering well. There is a chance you will meet the same teams when you return for your future procedures. I will share your kind words with the teams involved.

Good afternoon,

Thank you for taking the time to share such heartfelt and generous feedback following your recent emergency admission to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. I am truly pleased to hear that your experience across the Surgical Observation Ward, Ward 106C, and with the Consultants and Doctors was so reassuring and positive.

I would especially like to thank you for recognising our ambulance crew, Emma and Lyndsey. I know they will be deeply touched to hear how much their care and professionalism meant to you during what must have been a difficult morning.

The entire team from paramedics to hospital staff is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care, and it’s genuinely rewarding to hear that you felt safe and supported throughout.

We wish you all the very best with your upcoming scan and procedure.
