"I have never felt such confidence in a team"

From the moment I arrived in the day surgery unit I was immediately greeted by Susan who was not only polite and gentle put me immediately at ease. She showed me to my bed area and proceeded to inform me of what was going to happen. She introduced me to some of the staff and my Nurse Kristin.

Every member of staff throughout my stay was  outstanding. Their caring and genuine compassion for their patients was way above my expectations which incidentally are exceedingly high .The anaesthetic team listened and informed me of exactly what was to happen and how I would possibly feel before at induction . The procedure and how I would feel after.

I explained that the challenge for me is that am always nauseated and very sick after an anaesthetic. The anesthetiser took this into account and then assured me that he would do his best. And yes he did . It’s the first time that I have had an anaesthetic and Not been sick . Well hats off to that team. 

And for Mr Sharma and his amazing team of surgeons.

All I can say is compassionate . Methodical , straight forward explanations of the procedure. Visited me ore and post op. As a patient I have never felt such confidence in a team.

My surgery went very well, my short stay at Queen Margaret day surgery was a truly amazing experience.

What a wonderful team.
