"Fatigue Management"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Outpatients Occupational Therapy

(as the patient),

I have found this course to be extremely helpful. I have finally understood "pacing myself".

I have found myself thinking over what was discussed in class and I have managed to cope with my feelings and thoughts more constructively and I now appreciate how feelings can contribute to pain and fatigue.

I feel Jacqui and Lesley have been fantastic facilitators and have shown excellent professional support and advice.

Our group have now developed a very good supportive friendship and we are sad the course  only lasted a few weeks. We are very much looking forward to follow up session and to share how we have all progressed on our journeys.

I am extremely grateful to Dr Dale and his team for the excellent treatment and support I have received.

Dear herongs46

Many thanks for sharing your experience of participating in the Fatigue Management group with Jacqui and Lesley. I look forward to sharing your feedback with them and the wider Rheumatology Occupational Therapy team.

It is lovely to hear that you have gained a greater understanding of 'pacing' resulting in you coping with your feelings and thoughts constructively. It is lovely that your group has developed a friendship, supporting one another on your personal and group journey.

I wish you the very best on your journey and your new found friendships.
