"Rude staff and no help"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a service user),

I was brought to tears by the receptionist and a senior member of staff as if my pain wasn’t already enough, completely cut me off when I tried speaking, told me to go home and if I’m in enough pain I’ll come back another time for an appointment even though 111 had brought me there for urgent help, I heard them talking bad about me round the corner.

Absolutely no care in the world , I’d rather suffer in pain then to ever have to step foot in Blackburn hospital ever again

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience on Care Opinion Website about your recent visit to the Urgent Treatment Centre at Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital.

We are sorry to hear of your experience. We do have a Matron on duty and actively promote a tell me today campaign, where people can call the matron directly, so we can meet with relatives and patients to hear about their care, at the time of their care, then where needed any resolution can be achieved at the time.

If you wish to speak to someone about the concerns you have raised then please do get in touch with our customer relations team on 01254 733700 or complaints@elht.nhs.uk and someone can call you back.

Many thanks again for taking the time to provide your feedback.
