"They made me feel that I am not alone in this world"

About: Talking Therapies Doncaster

(as the patient),

I left everything behind to be with my husband and son here — to build a family and give my child the chance to grow up in a healthy way with both his mother and father. But I couldn’t find a job, and suddenly I started to feel weak, afraid, depressed, isolated, and alone. I was unable to move forward with my life. I felt like I was losing my mind while time kept passing by so quickly, and I remained stuck in the same place. I tried to make the work, but in vain — only failure. And then I discovered talking therapy.

They are not just human beings — they are angels. They made me feel that I am not alone in this world. They carried my pain with me, eased my burdens, and reminded me that the world isn’t only filled with harm and hurt. Even though my problems haven’t completely gone away and I didn’t find work yet, I left their presence a stronger, more grounded person, better able to face life and hold on to it for the sake of those I love. I am truly at a loss for words to thank them.

Hi SHO,

Thank you for providing feedback on RDASH Talking Therapies. I work as a Team Manager within the Doncaster Talking Therapies team. I have shared your feedback with the wider team. I am delighted that you now feel stronger and more grounded and able to face life. You have done amazing. Although I do feel that we have some great therapists, you should also take a lot of credit for your achievements. Most of the therapy happens outside of therapy sessions and you have been able to implement strategies and techniques and make meaningful change that is not easy. I would like to wish you all the best in the future. and your continued progress.

Kind Regards

Tim Godley
