My son was born at 31 weeks gestation (9 weeks early) and spent 7 weeks in neonatal. Megan, our HV from the south Armagh team, kept in contact with myself and the neonatal unit on his progress.
When my son was discharged from hospital, Megan was very professional, knowledgeable and understanding. During what was a very worrying time Megan has listened to me and has provided me with emotional support.
During the first few weeks at home, Megan visited weekly which reassured us on our son’s weight gain and progress. Megan made sure everything was in place for my son and helped chase up referrals for outpatient scans / appointments that he needed which made things in those early days that bit easier.
She has celebrated his weight gain and milestones with us along the way. Megan has provided us with house safety advice, weaning advice and we appreciate her only being a message or phone call away.
"Very professional, knowledgeable and understanding"
