"The whole process is exhausting"

Attending the Antenatal Clinic. An appointment time is given, yet each time I come I am waiting hours.  I do not understand why these clinics are being run in this way and why our time is not respected.  My husband is unable to attend with me, due to having to take the whole afternoon off, which is not practical for the amount of appointments I have.  My appointment was in the afternoon, I was called in 45 minutes later and this was only to do my observations i.e. urine sample test and blood pressure. I had been waiting over 2 hours, and was still waiting to be seen by the consultant. Had the same experience the last 2 times too, even though I only ended up being with the consultant for less than 10mins. 

I strongly feel a better system must be considered and patients shouldn't have to sit around for hours waiting. I now have increased anxiety every time I have an appointment. The whole process is exhausting.
