"Members of staff helped ease the worry"

About: Specialist Child Health & Disability / Paediatric Epilepsy Team

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter finally got discharged from the epilepsy clinic last week, she was diagnosed in primary 1 and is just going into year 9. I want to thank all that was involved in her care over the years, Dr Bell, Dr Funston, Grainne, Alison and Dr Conn. Each and every appointment we attended, my daughter was involved in decisions and planning. It's a very worrying time as a parent but these members of staff helped ease that worry, just to know they were if and when needed. Thank you all so much.

Thank you so much Sayithowitis for your lovely feedback to the epilepsy team.

I am delighted to hear how you valued the support from our doctors and epilepsy nurses over many years. Living with epilepsy brings many challenges for children, young people and their families. Being involved in their decision making and care planning is so important and empowering for our patients. Knowing that support has been available to you as a parent, when needed, I trust has helped ease the journey.

I will ensure your lovely comments are shared with our team who really value hearing of our patient and family experiences – they will be delighted.

Now that your daughter has been discharged from our service we take this opportunity to wish her well for her future.

Kind regards

Jean
