At the beginning of June 2025 I had abdominal surgery to repair 4 incisional hernias and had mesh inserted at The Causeway Hospital, Coleraine. Just over 3 weeks later I developed an infection at the top of my scar and was referred to CSAU (Causeway Surgical Ambulatory Unit). The doctors & nurses were very professional and caring, explaining and advising of what they were for doing every step of the way. I returned to CSAU 3 more times for reviews, etc & then discharged. I was looked after extremely well and couldn't have asked for better care.
