I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in 2023. I went on watchful waiting until changes this year meant action was needed. Despite my age (70's) I opted for Radical Prostatectomy. My Surgeon and her Staff have been exemplary in giving me information and support throughout and helped me in my decision which was not taken lightly! Risks and outcomes were well discussed.
The Surgery has been done and I am now in recovery. Pathology results to be given in a month or so, we hope that it is positive.
Thanks to my Surgeon the Theatre Staff, X Ray department and all at Ward 209 who looked after me very well.
