My experience in 4 south surgical Craigavon hospital was both good and bad, a lot of the nurses were very attentive especially the night staff, but a few were very laid back on their approach to nursing, one in particular give the impression they didn't really care about their role, I asked several times for pain relief medication, once it took several hours for them to return to me, the second time they forgot completely and left their shift without getting me any. I had to ask a new staff member for some who I might say did get it immediately, It felt like they were more interested in chatting to colleagues in the corridor about life than in my pain relief.
When it came time for my discharge my letters included a page from someone else's discharge papers it clearly showed what they were in for, name and address, DOB and HCN number etc not exactly what I would want to have happened to me.
"A mixed experience"
