"My Pregnancy Care"

About: Mater Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

During my pregnancy I was under the care of the continuity of midwifery based at the mater hospital Belfast. My midwife Sarah was nothing but an absolute pleasure to have had looking after me during my pregnancy. She explained every little thing in detail to me and made me feel so much more at ease. The midwife I had during labour was amazing and again I was kept in the loop about everything that was happening. I couldn’t recommend this team of midwives enough and I think every pregnant person should be given the opportunity to be under there care as I wasn’t with my first pregnancy I was young and had no idea, this time round the care I received both in labour and pregnancy was phenomenal.

Thank you so much for taking the time to feedback about your experience of having care within the Continuity of Midwifery Care (CoMC) Team. I will share your kind words with your named midwife Sarah and the whole CoMC Team.

Feedback about your maternity experience is vital to highlight to other women the benefits of Continuity. Not only having a named midwife you know and trust, but helping you to navigate maternity services to ensure that your birth preferences are supported and enabling you to make decisions that are right for you and your family.

Building these relationships with your midwife really helps women feel informed, supported and more at ease with their pregnancy journey.

Once again thank you for taking the time to feedback your experience which I hope will demonstrate the impact CoMC care has on women who use this service. I hope should you use maternity services again that you choose to have care with the Continuity of Midwifery care team.
