I was visiting a relative today and when I arrived the staff were changing her behind a closed curtain in the bay. I was incredibly moved by the gentle and tender care being given by the staff members. This was in A7, a specialist unit for elderly patients with dementia, and the staff were unaware that I was waiting. The staff member greeted me with a big smile and chatted so positively to my relative. During my visit the staff member continually reassured my relative, toileted her and offered so much care. It was obvious that this young girl had genuine affection for those in her care and she went about her duties with such a glowing smile. I noted from her name badge that she was called Chloe.
"Such genuine tender care"
