"Giving birth - Mixed experience"

About: Bangor Community Hospital / Bangor Community Midwives Maternity / Labour Ward / Delivery Suite

(as the patient),

I had a great experience with my care at the ulster hospital with all my scans. Had a great care during my c section. All the staff on labour ward looked after me really well and where great help with breastfeeding. I also had a great experience with the midwives in Ards hospital.

The only issues I had was with the community midwives that came out after I given birth, mainly just one. I was made to feel very uncomfortable in my own home. As first time mother, I was made to feel I was doing things wrong. I was then asked was I very up and down person due to being upset. I feel this was very bad choice of words and not very caring or supportive. This experience really affected my first weeks into motherhood.
