Was admitted in April to have a TKR. Was put at ease from walking through the door to being sent home. All the staff involved were absolutely fantastic. They were caring, respectful and totally professional. Not knowing what to expect of myself in the situation I was helped to stay calm and let the surgeon do his bit. The staff listened to my concerns and helped me through them. I was totally aware with this operation it is only the beginning of the treatment and that the hard work to it being a success came from me but again things were explained and encouraged. Had fantastic back up with the physio's which I know a lot of people having the op in other areas don't get. I'm now 10 weeks post op , doing the physio I was told to do daily ,still a long way to go but think it's been a success. Thanks to you all, I'm looking to a pain free future. We are so lucky having a hospital like BDG and the staff that work there. Thank you
