"Power Up is a really good idea"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Parkinson's Service

(as the patient),

Power Up is a really good idea to join people together from all walks of life but who have been diagnosed with the same illness. I formed good friendships, was given tools and exercises to use and was helped with other aspects of my well-being which I didn’t expect. It’s a valuable service and feel sorry for people who don’t get to access Power Up.

I cannot recommend any improvements as my experience was perfect from start to finish. The team leaders were very interactive, personable and encouraging, this made it feel less scary and made everyone instantly comfortable

Dear Bonanzatc85

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave feedback about your experience of Power UP! I am delighted that you have found it beneficial for not just the exercise and educational side of things but also social. The thought of meeting others with the same condition can sometimes be a worry, and I appreciate coming through the door for the first session is probably the hardest part of the course. I hope your words will encourage others and reduce their concerns about attending Power UP!

Many thanks

Suzanne
