"Fantastic and accommodating care"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Gynaecology (Ward 32)

(as the patient),

Admitted to ward 32 RAH for a procedure - would be in overnight! Unfortunately was then diagnosed as needing IV antibiotics for an extended period of time but was scheduled to work over next few days!

Whole team - Dr Lamont, Jen and all the medics, Elaine, Susie, Linda and all the nursing staff …everyone worked so hard and succeeded in enabling me to keep working!!! I now have IV antibiotics at home under the care of the OPAT - fantastic care!! Thanks to Kay!

Care assistants and housekeepers too were amazing…
I have never met a ward team so warm and friendly…nothing was too much trouble for me and  those I saw around me!
I am so grateful - many many thanks

Dear blackbirdjj86,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience on Care Opinion following your recent admission to Ward 32 at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.

We are absolutely delighted to hear your kind words about the care you received. I will ensure that Dr Lamont, Senior Charge Nurse Jen, Nurses and HCSWs Elaine, Susie, Linda, Kay, and the wider medical, nursing, care assistant, and housekeeping teams all receive your lovely feedback — it truly means a lot to the whole team.

I’m so pleased we were able to support you in continuing your work commitments while receiving treatment, and that your transition to OPAT care at home has been a smooth and positive one.

Your recognition of the team’s warmth, friendliness, and dedication is incredibly appreciated. Thank you again for your thoughtful message — we wish you continued recovery and good health.

Warmest regards,

Nikki
