"My dad's care"

About: Victoria Hospital / Admissions Unit 1 (Emergency Medical) Victoria Hospital / Cardiology

(as a relative),

My elderly Dad was admitted to the hospital feeling very unwell;  he was very confused and disoriented. He was initially in the admission ward, where the nurses were very caring and helpful. While we were visiting, he was transferred to Ward 23 by the nurse from the ward.  I am a nurse myself, and on arrival to ward 23, we were instantly made to feel welcome by all the staff on duty, who were friendly and all said hello.

My Dad was in for two nights and I would like to thank all of the nursing staff, HCSW and medical staff who cared so well for him in ward 23.They were so kind and caring.  A special thanks to the nurse Brogan, who made sure his discharge happened as quickly as possible (he was desperate to get home).  Thanks so much, everyone.  Your caring nature and organisation of the ward shone through.
