"Made the experience less scary"

About: The Ulster Hospital / Endoscopy Unit

(as the patient),

This was my first time getting this sort of procedure so I really appreciated how supportive the staff were and how much they explained about the procedure to me in advance.

The nurses were wonderful, one did my suction, another supported my hips as I am paraplegic and not able to stay on one side on my own, another did the biopsies and the final one just held my hand and gave words of affirmation that I very much needed.

Due to medical history, lidocaine and other local numbing medications don't work/last the same on me so I was very uncomfortable and the endoscopist and the nurses made the experience less scary and I would have no fears whatsoever in getting another should I need it.
