"B12 & depo prover’s injections"

About: Hamilton Locality Support Service / Treatment Room (Hamilton)

(as the patient),

Had an appointment at Douglas street , Hamilton on the 4th July 25 for my regular B12 twelve weekly injections, Leigha who is a student nurse greeted me at reception and showed me through to the treatment area . First my b12 was given by Leigha then Pamela who was mentoring her , showed her with diligence and care of her to administer my depo provera injection as it was only Leigha’s second time of injecting this kind of intramuscular injection. Pamela guided Leigha  by talking her through the injection which Leigha did perfectly. I felt so at ease with them both and wish Leigha all the best with her future ahead , Pamela in my opinion is a great mentor for those who choose to follow a career in the nhs.

Dear Bayley

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of the treatment rooms. I am delighted to hear that you felt at ease with the staff and you were happy with the care you recieved. I am sure Leigha and Pamela will be pleased with your positive feedback. Mentorship is a really valuable part of the nurses role in supporting and developing our workforce.

Thanks again, your feedback is really valuable to us, and we will make sure this is passed on to the staff.

Sarah
