"Visit to radiology dept"

My father recently attended the x-ray dept. He was meant to check in at reception B but went to the wrong desk first, reception A.

My father was annoyed that the member of staff who spoke to him at that reception was extremely rude. They never even lifted their head to actually look at my dad and spoke with a really bad attitude. They asked his details and spoke in a really abrupt, rude manner. My dad said he felt like he was being scolded and was causing this member of staff an inconvenience. My mother was with my dad and she said she is shocked that someone with such a bad attitude would be working and dealing with patients. They were genuinely shocked and annoyed by this experience.

I work for the Trust too and felt so disappointed that my parents received such a negative reception. My dad was very anxious about his Nuclear Medicine scan and this member of staff was the first person he spoke to. Not a nice start to the appointment.

However, when he got checked in at NM everything was great from there on in. The radiographers in Nuclear were lovely and he couldn't have praised the service enough after he got over the initial reception at reception A.
