"Knowing I'm not going through a hard time on my own"

About: HMP Leeds / Substance Misuse Service

(as a service user),

I've really enjoyed doing the group Smart Recovery as at the minute I've stopped my buvidal injection, it helped knowing I'm not going through a hard time on my own and gave me tools to help me manage not doing it again, and realising if I take things step by step I will get somewhere. Like using Cost Benefit Analysis and Hierarchy of Valves, these tools have really made me think and helped with my recovery!

Thanks Shiv.

Well done on completing your detox we are really pleased to hear that participating in SMART meetings has helped you to achieve this goal. It's great that you found the peer support beneficial and have taken away some helpful tools. Thankyou for your feedback.
