"Lanarkshire Stroke MCN, Blantyre Life - Positive Stroke Solutions"

About: Lanarkshire Community Services / Stroke MCN (Managed Clinical Network) Service

(as the patient),

Very good course led by Sarah for patients who had relatively recent stroke. Most useful was discussing issues with other stroke patients and Peer Supporters.  Every stroke is different, and we each have our own personalities, previous experience, and level of Carer Support.  Personally, I did not find the session on "Mindfulness" helpful, or the Relaxation sessions, but I'm sure others did.

Sarah gave very clear talks and was very welcoming.

It would be very helpful if Carers/spouses could have a similar course or contribute to some of the sessions, especially on Energy Management and Time Management.

I would hope this course continues, as it is the only forum for patients to hear each others stories and support each other.

Dear Rusty19,

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on the course. I am glad that you found it useful, We are planning to do an event for carers to understand if a similar course would meet their needs. I will pass on your comments to Sarah.

Thanks Katrina Brennan MBE
