"Breast Cancer Review"

About: Belfast City Hospital / Breast Surgery

(as a relative),

I recently attended BCH breast cancer outpatient appointment with my Aunt. We were seen by Mr Irwin and his team and are so thankful for all of their care and attention.

Even though they had to deliver some difficult news, every team member showed kindness and Mr Irwin took significant time to deliver this information in a very patient friendly manner.

Special thanks to Louise and Claire for their follow up conversations to further explain what the next steps would be. A very thoughtful nurse (who I unfortunately didn’t catch her name) also made sure to get us a cup of tea and some food when the appointment lasted longer than initially intended.

This interaction showed the NHS working at its best, fully centred on patient focused care and we are very thankful.
