About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Neuro-rehabilitation Unit (NRU)

(as the patient),

I have been attending this clinic for the best part of 20yrs & have seen a lot of staff come & go.

However one thing has remained the same, Staff Nurse Eileen. She is an absolute star! Don't get me wrong, other staff members are excellent too, ie Dr Mallory.

I recently attended the clinic for a regular procedure & asked if a friend who may be in line for the same treatment could watch. Really to allay any fears he may encounter if it goes ahead.

They were happy to accommodate him & explained what was happening during the procedure.

Over the 20yrs I've been attending all the staff have been amazing. On one particular appointment I was running a little late due to parking issues. I received a phone call from Eileen to ensure I was OK & hadn't forgotten.

What service.

It’s heartening to hear how much Staff Nurse Eileen has meant to you during your visits — she is indeed a valued member of our team, and your recognition of her dedication and compassion will mean a great deal to her. We’re especially pleased that we could support your friend by allowing them to observe your procedure — easing anxieties and offering reassurance is an important part of the care we strive to deliver.
