"I will never forget what they have done for us"

About: Specialist Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Services / Keith Winter House

(as a relative),

In October 2023 my mum was offered a place at KWH to help with her rehabilitation after a year of back/forth to different mental health units in Worcestershire and being left at home inbetween with no support/diagnosis of her current mental health.

From day 1 we noticed that the staff at KWH were fully committed to giving their full support and attention to getting mum back to a stage where she could cope with her anxiety, and look after herself again.

Although there were stumbling blocks along the way on mums part, the staff stuck by mum through the hard times which has resulted in mum being able to have the confidence again to speak out, go out and socialise and to feel herself again.

They have helped to transition mum into a new flat and made it a steady discharge so mum felt comfortable and ready to leave.

I can honestly say without the support from KWH I don’t think mum would be how she is today, she would of continued on a merry go round trying to get the help she needed.

I thank all of the KWH staff from the bottom of my heart , a big thank you to Vicky, Ben, and also Charlie who was mums social worker. I will never forget what they have done for us.

Thank you for taking time to give us such positive feedback Alex.

Receiving such feedback really does make a difference to us and gives us continued belief that what we do helps not just our patients, but their loved ones too. I am glad that our staff's attention to care was apparent while we supported your mom.

We should also take the opportunity to acknowledge all the support you put in to supporting your mother; without all of your efforts, a successful discharge from Keith Winter House would have been much more difficult to achieve.

We wish you and your family all the best and thank you again for taking time to give us this feedback- I will ensure that everyone in our team sees it, I know it will be appreciated.
