About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Elective Orthopaedics (Ward 7)

(as the patient),

I recently had a total right hip replacement and am now home. It was a great job from the team starting from reception to anaesthetist to theatre to recovery to ward care to food and staff and nurses, catering, cleaning, physio, occupational therapy, pain relief. Although I'm in pain it's the pain from operation and I'll get over it eventually but the pain has to happen to recover from the process. Thanks again to everyone involved from porters to nurses to surgeons to support staff and everyone else. Thank you all and I look forward to recovering.
